Trump Signs ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ Into Law

President Donald Trump signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” into law Friday, delivering on a number of his campaign promises.

Trump signed the bill during an event on the White House lawn. It will extend, expand or implement more than $4.5 trillion in tax breaks and make more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, among other provisions.

Republicans passed the bill Thursday afternoon after a process that sometimes seemed like it might not succeed: GOP lawmakers were split over the amount of spending the bill allowed for, as well is its cuts to Medicaid. Trump, however, publicly leaned on Republicans to pass the legislation, and no changes were made to the Senate’s version of the bill.

Democrats didn’t have much say in the matter, as Republicans hold narrow majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The bill is expected to grow the national deficit and leave millions without health care. Here is a list of some of the significant provisions in the bill:
