Nestlé Milo Pro has been unveiled by the brand in Indonesia as a new version of the signature chocolate malt drink mix that focuses on the protein needs of teenagers and young adults alike. The drink mix is reported to have three-times the protein when compared to regular Milo and is launching in ready-to-drink (RTD) and powder formats to maximize access for consumers. The drink features 15-grams of protein per serving when prepared with milk, while also featuring essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients to maximize its nutritional profile.
Senior Vice President and Head of Nutrition Business Serena Aboutboul spoke on Nestlé Milo Pro saying, “In Southeast Asia, 57% of teenagers are looking to include more protein-rich foods into their diets. At the same time, however, research shows that adolescents in Indonesia1 – as well as in many other parts of Asia – are not meeting their daily protein needs. To make it easier for young people to get the right amount of protein each day along with other important nutrients, we have launched Milo Pro in a convenient, ready-to-drink format, or an easy-to-mix powder.”
