Georg Jensen has opened a new store on New Bond Street in London, celebrating the location’s rich design history. To mark the occasion, creative director Paula Gerbase has curated an exhibition highlighting midcentury icons from the 1940s to the 1960s.
The store spans multiple floors and aims to offer more than just retail, with space for creative activations. The exhibition will be complemented by a rotating program of contemporary Nordic art, starting with artist Kim Naver, who will display her textiles alongside the Mid-Century Marvels exhibition. Other pieces include jewelry from Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel, Arne Jacobsen tableware, and more.
The Georg Jensen Mayfair store is now open, and the exhibition will run until February 16th.
