In-Store Pharmacy Clinics : Walmart Pharmacy Clinic

The Walmart Pharmacy Clinic is a new extension of the retailer’s pharmacy services that’s being launched by Walmart Canada to provide shoppers with more healthcare services from pharmacists.

The clinic has a walk-in medical clinic setup that will enable patients to meet with licensed pharmacists on common minor ailments like UTIs, skin conditions, allergies, cold sores and more. The pharmacists will be able to perform a series of point of care services before offering medication management and support. Patients will be able to simply walk in or schedule their appointment ahead of time.

Walmart Canada commented on the Walmart Pharmacy Clinic in a release saying, “The new in-store clinic space will enhance our licensed pharmacists’ ability to provide direct consultations and healthcare services within their expanded scope of practice to our St. Catharines patients, beyond dispensing medication via the pharmacy. The opening of these clinics continues to highlight Walmart Canada’s commitment to enhancing access to affordable, personalized care for Canadians while delivering best-in-class patient care.”
