The Waitrose Delivery Pass has been launched by the grocer in the UK following a successful trial as a subscription service for consumers that will accelerate their ability to access grocery deliveries on their terms.

The pass will offer customers with an online grocery account with the option to pay upfront for their subscription for one, six or 12 months with the ability to book up to one delivery slot each day with no additional fees. This will save shoppers between £2 and £4 per order after the cost from the subscription is recouped. The options are priced at £8 per month, £45 for six months and annual subscriptions coming in at £85.

Director of Waitrose Online Laura Burbedge spoke on the Waitrose Delivery Pass saying, “We’re investing in our online business to continuously improve it, giving our customers even greater value and the best possible experience. Thousands of customers signed up for Delivery Passes through our trial, so we expect to see strong demand across the UK as we roll it out.”
