Sweedish ski brand StellarEQ recently tackled the freeride outerwear category with a three-layer shell system called The Stellar Free 2.5 Shell Jacket & Bibs. This range, which is available for both men and women, is designed for freeriders who require durability, weather protection, and unrestricted movement in demanding mountain conditions.

The Stellar Free 2.5 Shell Jacket & Bibs feature a lightweight construction and a PFAS-free fabric made from 100% recycled Japanese nylon. The freeride outerwear system’s three-layer design ensures full waterproofing while maintaining excellent breathability. The Free Shell Jacket 2.5 is engineered with a relaxed, elongated fit to allow for easy layering and enhanced mobility. Key features include oversized YKK AquaGuard® ventilation zippers for rapid cooling, a helmet-compatible hood with adjustable cord locks, and multiple storage pockets designed for accessibility even when wearing a backpack or harness. The Free Shell Pant 2.5, on the other hand, follows the same performance-driven philosophy, offering a stretchable elastane bib with adjustable suspenders and strategically placed ventilation zippers for efficient heat management. Reinforced with oversized gusset pockets and an internal transceiver loop, the pants are built for both convenience and resilience in rugged environments.
