Mitsubishi Motors Corporation launched the all-new Grandis compact SUV for the European market on July 2, 2025, marking the first vehicle under the Grandis name to reach Europe in 13 years. The vehicle features the company’s signature Dynamic Shield design and offers both mild hybrid (MHEV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) powertrain options. Built on Renault’s CMF-B platform through their Alliance partnership, the Grandis will be manufactured at Renault’s Valladolid plant in Spain.

The SUV emphasizes spacious interior design with a practical two-row, five-seat layout and sliding rear seats that expand luggage capacity from 434 to 1,455 liters. Advanced features include a panoramic glass roof with electrochromic function, Google built-in connectivity, and comprehensive driver assistance systems. The launch supports Mitsubishi’s electrification strategy, targeting 100% electrified vehicle sales by 2035. This represents the automotive industry’s continued shift toward hybrid technologies and cross-manufacturer collaboration to accelerate sustainable mobility solutions across global markets
