Low-carbon construction is advancing with Adaptavate’s recent success in raising £2.7 million to help grow its eco-friendly building materials business. Adaptavate, known for developing low-carbon and carbon-negative products, received major investment from Undivided Ventures in Asia and Skreenhouse Ventures by SigmaRoc in Europe, as well as support from other partners and existing investors.
This funding will allow Adaptavate to partner with SigmaRoc to strengthen the supply chain for its calcium carbonate-based wallboards and expand production and distribution across Europe under ‘Project Crystal.’
The investment will also support the creation of a new industrial demonstration facility, making it easier to scale up Adaptavate’s technology—especially its flagship product, Breathaboard. Through these efforts, Adaptavate aims to help the construction industry use building materials that are healthier for people and the environment, while reducing carbon emissions and supporting a more sustainable future.
