RecyClass Approval has been granted to Eastman for eight of its copolyester resins, including their Renew grades with recycled content. This approval supports Eastman’s efforts to create more recyclable materials that fit within modern recycling systems.

Independent testing by “PTI-Europe and Plastics Forming Enterprises (PFE) confirmed that six resins—Cristalâ„¢ EN076, Cristalâ„¢ One, Cristalâ„¢ One Pro, Cristalâ„¢ One IM812, Cristalâ„¢ One E, and Cristalâ„¢ One E Lux—are fully compatible with Europe’s PET bottle recycling processes while two others, Cristalâ„¢ EN067 and Cristalâ„¢ EN059, showed limited compatibility.”

These resins do not interfere with recycling systems and offer benefits like durability, clarity, and a glossy finish; their design makes them ideal for packaging applications such as skincare jars, bottles, caps, and cosmetics.

Overall, this approval highlights ongoing efforts in the plastics industry to improve recyclability and support a more circular economy.
