Adaptable Outdoor Clothing Initiatives : Berghaus Adapts

[ad_1]

Berghaus focuses on accessible outdoor activities with its new initiative. Dubbed the Berghaus Adapts program, this venture is designed to make outdoor experiences more accessible to individuals with physical disabilities by customizing clothing and equipment to meet their specific needs.

The program, which officially began on February 3, allows consumers to request tailored modifications to Berghaus products. This opportunity will enable them to overcome barriers that have historically limited their ability to enjoy nature. The company’s in-house product team collaborates directly with applicants to create bespoke gear, drawing on five years of experience adapting kits for adventurers like Ed Jackson, a recovering quadriplegic, and Mick Fowler, a mountaineer with a colostomy bag. These efforts have already supported groundbreaking achievements, such as the first all-disabled team to traverse Iceland’s Vatnajökull ice cap and the first ascent of the remote Himalayan peak Yawash Sar.
