Patagonia has joined Pack4Good, a sustainable packaging initiative developed by the environmental nonprofit Canopy, to advance its efforts in reducing reliance on forest-derived fibers. The collaboration will focus on the development and scaling of next-generation packaging materials, including the use of alternative fiber sources such as agricultural waste. This initiative is part of Patagonia’s broader strategy to transition away from traditional paper packaging, which is estimated to contribute to significant tree logging annually.
In this partnership, Patagonia will work alongside Canopy and other industry participants to review and implement new, carefully considered packaging solutions that align with its longstanding environmental objectives. The effort is aimed at mitigating the environmental impact associated with conventional delivery packaging, while fostering innovations in sustainable material use that support circular economy principles. By participating in Pack4Good, Patagonia reinforces its commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable operational practices.
