The African School of Governance has officially launched in Kigali, Rwanda, with the goal of fostering ethical and purpose-driven leadership across the continent. Co-founded by Rwandan President Paul Kagame and former Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, the African School of Governance aims to equip future leaders with the skills and insights needed to address Africa’s governance and socio-economic challenges. The institution offers programs such as the Master of Public Administration and the Executive Master of Public Administration, which blend global academic standards with an African perspective.

Through partnerships with organizations like the Mastercard Foundation and key stakeholders in governance and development, the African School of Governance aspires to create transformative change by integrating practical, real-world applications into its curriculum. The school’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity is reflected in its efforts to attract students from underrepresented communities and provide a learning environment enriched by cross-sector collaboration and exposure to multiple African Union languages.
