British artist Antony Gormley presents the Drawing on Space located at Museum SAN in South Korea. It will be on display until November 30th. At the core of the installation is ‘Ground’ which is made in collaboration with Tadao Ando. It takes the form of a concrete cave with meditative factors.
The space has seven cast-iron figures that are drawn from the artist’s seminal Blockworks series. Another highlight is the ‘Liminal Field’ which has steel bubbles exploring the nature of bodies. Gormley explained more on the design, explaining that the focus was to allow “physical and imaginative space come together. The works will activate rather than occupy space, and explore the enclosures of architecture and the body as sensate.”
